it's hard to tell exactly what happened, but something must have stabbed into each eye multiple times, the blade apparently not going so far as to damage caelus' brain but certainly enough to blind him. to cause suffering. those smaller markings near his cheekbones should be from when the weapon was wrenched out before another plunge.
if he stares, aventurine can see the skin and eye goo is ever so slowly, ever so meticulously reknitting together. coming back. the spring's magic doing its work. caelus will see again sooner or later. ]
[ What peers (or doesn't peer) back at him is unsightly, but Aventurine doesn't recoil or flinch in horror. He's seen plenty of gore in his lifetime, and his emotionshare is a steady beat as he inspects the wounds, as well as the way they've slowly started to stitch themselves back together. ]
