week 2 monday.

[trashprince]

[ caelus stands within the monitoring room in the gas station, staring at the split-screen with full, intense focus. he lifts his head and smiles when he sees anis approaching. raises a hand to wave. ]

Yo.

[ that's when his vision blacks out.

and then he sees the doomsday beast.

he feels the stellaron expanding in his chest, the all-consuming gaze of nanook--aeon of destruction, kafka promising him a future where his will paves the path.

the moment when it's all going to end far too soon. he's only been alive a moment. he's only known march and dan heng and himeko for a blink. already a failed project. already about to kill everyone.

until welt saves him. he falls.

and back at the gas station, caelus comes to, leaning heavily into the monitors (one of which glitches, then returns to normal in a blink) ]

[ she gives a smile as she comes closer, curious to see what he's looking at.

then they get interrupted.

once the memory is finished, she's reaching up to touch her own head before looking at caelus. ]

Can I get some context as to what was happening?

[ all this time, caelus has been pretty open with details about himself. it's talking to certain others within scawwy that has given him pause. granted him caution. will being blunt with everything bother someone? scare someone? make him seem more dangerous?

he doesn't want to be. ]

[ kept him together with blunt force trauma. sounds legit ]

It's good thing he was then. What was that thing attacking you?

[ we'll get to caelus possible blowing in a bit ]

It was the Antimatter Legion's Doomsday Beast. The Legion attacked Herta Space station, the place we were at. They follow the Aeon--I mean the god of Destruction.

[ the correction is clearly to make it a little easier to follow along ]

week 3 monday

[trashprince]

[ caelus has traveled upwards and on-wards to one of the highest spots within the city.

he's swiping at the orbs which continually bob right out of his reach. and ya boy has some jumps. ]

C'mon--!

[marauderprincess]

[ this is like watching a cat go for a laser dot that keeps getting yanked out of reach ]

Fighting! You can do it! [ she's going to yell up at him ]

[trashprince]

[ he gets pretty high but his fingers can't even brush the orbs, they always float right out of range.

this could go on for a while but eventually he'll give up ]

What do they even do?

[ that's a shame that he can't catch them. she wants to see how they work. ]

They are probably there for lighting and ambience. [ is he coming down? ]

week 3, friday

[marauderprincess]

[ she's actually still sticking around the village with puffy eyes and a bruise on her face. when she sees him, she's going to rub her face. ]

Hello... I don't think I'll be very good company.

[trashprince]

I don't think anyone will be tonight.

[ his eyes aren't red. guess true alphas don't cry. haha. or they repress! or they are about to break down right in front of anis for the first time since seeing the posters, hearing the news, seeing it was tomi, it was marina--

[ true alphas aren't afraid to cry and show everyone their tears are boss or something something.

she's just going to come over to give him a hug. ]

[ you know what, after this week full of rejections, he didn't see that one coming. a split second where he stiffens, almost unsure how to respond before it kicks in that he's a protag, this is what he's supposed to be good at.

he wraps his arms around her and gives a firm squeeze. ]

[ she's going to approach the barrier at the pyre. ]

I didn't think I would be ever visiting anyone here. [ he's the first she's visiting like this ]

[ his tails are all in motion but caelus himself sits on the ground behind the veil, knees to his chest. ]

[ she will settle down on the ground as well, getting as close as she could ]

Sure. I'll tell you anything you want, but I'll answer one question with the truth and another with a lie.

week 6, wednesday

[trashprince]

[ returning from the void and also returning to find anis. fortunately, these ghosts can apparently go anywhere in scawwy! they can walk and talk and be surprisingly more limited on the latter. ]

Sorry I couldn't tell you what I learned that matters, but if you want to know anything useless, I can answer that.

It's okay! I think just seeing you all is more than enough for me.

[ it's a relief and it's something like hope again ]

Can you talk about gossip? Like who might be dating over there?

[ places them at the graveyard jamba juice. caelus is playing smoothie-tender. what does anis like? ]

Almost can't believe we did it.

Yeah. I didn't think we'd really be able to do it all in a day. All that prep from the living and Kate putting together the plan must've done it.
